1. Beta Software

LocalBooks is currently in beta. While we work to ensure the software functions correctly, it may contain bugs, errors, or inaccuracies. Features may change, be added, or be removed in future updates without notice.

2. Intended Use

LocalBooks is designed for personal bookkeeping and simple small business use. It is not a certified accounting system. It is not a substitute for professional accounting advice, tax preparation, or audited financial statements.

You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all data, calculations, reports, and categorizations produced by the software. Do not rely on LocalBooks as your sole source of financial record-keeping without independent verification.

3. License

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use LocalBooks on your own computers for personal or small business bookkeeping purposes. You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the software
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the software
• Use the software to provide bookkeeping services to third parties as a commercial service (e.g., a bookkeeping firm using a single license for multiple clients is not permitted)

4. No Warranty

LocalBooks is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The software will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Financial calculations, categorizations, or reports will be accurate
• Bank statement parsing will correctly extract all transactions
• The software will be compatible with all bank statement formats

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers of LocalBooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or financial records
• Errors in financial calculations or reports
• Incorrect transaction categorization
• Tax filing errors based on software output
• Any financial loss arising from use of the software

Our total liability for any claim related to the software shall not exceed the amount you paid for the license.

6. Your Data

All data you enter into LocalBooks is stored locally on your computer. We do not have access to your data. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your database. We are not liable for data loss due to hardware failure, accidental deletion, or any other cause.

7. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with LocalBooks for any reason, contact support@llmboost.ca within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. No questions asked.

8. Updates

Your purchase includes free updates for as long as the software is actively maintained. We reserve the right to discontinue development at any time. The software will continue to function on your machine regardless of whether updates are released.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
